Conte as a record man: 18 games without defeats

The Bianconeri didn’t achieve the three points, but today’s game against Cagliari will certainly form part of Juventus’ history. Thanks to the draw occurred against the Sardinians, Antonio Conte’s team achieved the amount of 18 games being undefeated, crossing the record line set almost 60 years ago.

Namely 62 years ago, when on 1 January 1950 the side managed by Carver was overcome 1-2 in Turin by Lucchese on the occasion of their 18th match. However, that defeat didn’t prevent the Bianconeri from clinching the title at the end of the season.

Today, the record has been brought from 17 to 18 games, and Antonio Conte’s side will try to increase it even more, starting immediately on Saturday in Bergamo against Atalanta.
