Let’s focus on the coming days. Pretty soon we’ll have to face two matches in four days, two extremely important moments in our season, the first one against Chievo at home, the second one is against Bologna to recuperate the match called off because of the snow storm.

Just think about it.. it’s been quite a long time since we were running for two targets in March, Italia Cup and Championship, as you know we’ll be playing the second leg match against Milan that is something like Olympic finals.

March is about to start and our future will be pretty much written during this month, so we have to give our best to start it in the best way ever. This is all we are focused at now.

The Ghanaian looked to have scored a perfectly-legitimate goal 10 minutes after Antonio Nocerino’s early opener, as the ball was shown to have crossed the line despite Gianluigi Buffon’s best efforts to clear the effort, but the linesman deemed that it wasn’t a goal.

However, Matri also had a valid goal of his own chalked off for offside near the end of the encounter, and he believes the two incidents have cancelled each other out in a bid to defuse tensions after the match.

“My disallowed goal? It ties us with AC Milan, as I have said [Muntari's header] to be a regular goal,” the 27-year-old Sky Sport Italia.

Nevertheless, Matri managed to salvage a draw for Juventus late on and preserve their unbeaten start to the campaign, much to the relief of the striker, who reckons the point may not be decisive in the title race, but important for team morale as the business end of the season approaches.

“It was important we were able to equalise in such a difficult match. It’s a draw that makes a difference in the league table, but not one that will be decisive in the race for the title.

“[The result] also keeps our momentum going, which for us is the most important thing,” he concluded.

Juventus remain in second place and one point behind Milan at the Serie A summit, but have a game in hand over their rivals.

A miracle and half… Gigi Buffon left his mark against Milan as well, first clearing Mexes’ header, and then protecting his goal from Muntari. Perhaps the ball passed the line, but the speed of the action hindered a correct view: “I’m very honest: the circumstance was absolutely frantic, and I didn’t realize it. We took advantage of that situation, but the same happened to us in the second half. At the end, the final result would have been a 2-2 draw”, explained Gigi when speaking about the event which compensated for Matri’s denied goal. If on that occasion Buffon displayed his best, he didn’t manage to clear Nocerino’s shot, also considering Bonucci’s diversion: “I don’t know if the ball trajectory would have changed without Leonardo’s touch, he was absolutely unfortunate. I was ready to go towards the ball, but I really don’t know if it was directed towards the goal. It was a difficult game: Milan had the right freshness, clear mind, physical strength and technique to bypass us, but in the second half everything turned out for the best and we managed to keep our unbeaten status intact. We’re proud of this.”

Juventus attacker Alessandro Matri has stated his belief that AC Milan are the favourites in Saturday’s highly anticipated Serie A encounter at San Siro.

The Old Lady have already defeated that reigning champions twice in the 2011-12 campaign, but Matri believes that the Rossoneri are the favourites to bag the full three points on Saturday evening.

“Milan are still the favourites in my opinion, but we are growing in confidence. We will attack them right from the start,” Matri was quoted as saying by Tuttosport.

The former Cagliari star then discussed his chances of featuring from the start at San Siro, and stressed that he has no idea yet whether he will be part of the starting XI.

“I don’t know yet whether I will start or [Marco] Borriello. We will find out at the stadium who starts.”

The 27-year-old Matri has so far scored nine goals in 21 Serie A appearances this term.
