Several evening’s matches in February

With the match occurred on Saturday in Bergamo, Juventus started their series of evening’s fixtures. After the TIM Cup game occurred on Tuesday against Roma and this evening’s clash against Udinese, Conte’s side will be required to address many other games under artificial light in February.

Serie A League announced the match timetable from the fourth to the eighth return games. Five encounters, four of which will take place at 8:45pm for Juve.

In the first game, the Bianconeri will travel to Bologna on Sunday 12 February. Kick off at 8:45pm. On Saturday 18 February, they will host Catania, again at 8:45 pm.

In the sixth game, another big match will occur. On Saturday 25 February, Juventus will move to San Siro in order to face Milan, after the TIM Cup semifinal which will see them on the pitch on Wednesday 8 February.

A week later, exactly on 3 March, Conte’s men will play Chievo Verona at home. From the eighth return match, the timetable will return to take place at 3:00pm, and the first afternoon’s clash will see Juventus in Genoa against the Rossoblu.

The details related to date and time of each match are as follows:

4th return game: Bologna v Juventus, Sunday 12 Feb, at 8:45pm
5th return game: Juventus v Catania, Saturday 19 Feb, at 8:45pm
6th return game: Milan v Juventus, Saturday 25 Feb, at 8:45pm
7th return game: Juventus v Chievo, Saturday 03 Mar, at 8:45pm
8th return game: Genoa v Juventus, Sunday 10 Mar, at 3:00pm

Buffon, the number one

Gigi Buffon continues to be the number one among numbers one. His fine quality has been confirmed by IFFHS: the organization has drawn a new list including the best goalkeepers in the world, concerning the past 25 years. The Bianconero leads this list ahead of the Spanish Casillas and the Dutch Van Der Sar (having also inherited his position between the sticks at Juve in 2001).

Buffon collected 226 points. In second place, Casillas with 213 and then Van Der Sar with 201. The rest of the top ten is as follows: Peter Schmeichel (Denmark, 179), Oliver Kahn (Germany, 162), Petr Cech (Czech Republic, 154), José Luis Felix Chilavert (Paraguay, 146), Walter Zenga and Andoni Zubizarreta (Spain, 132), Taffarel (Brazil, 130).

This is another important recognition for Gigi Buffon given by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics. The first and most relevant one was the award as best goalkeeper ever, achieved in 2009.

AGREEMENT WITH ACF FIORENTINA FOR THE DISPOSAL OF THE PLAYER CARVALHO DE OLIVEIRA AMAURI

Turin, 24 January 2012 – Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that an agreement has been finalized with ACF Fiorentina S.p.A. for the definitive disposal of the registration rights of the player Carvalho de Oliveira Amauri for a consideration of € 0.5 million to be paid in the current financial year.

Considering that in the financial statements of the year ended at 30 June 2011 the net book value of the registration rights had been completely depreciated and that the contractual compensation for the current season had been fully accrued, the operation generates a positive net effect of approximately € 2.5 million. 

Conte as a record man: 18 games without defeats

The Bianconeri didn’t achieve the three points, but today’s game against Cagliari will certainly form part of Juventus’ history. Thanks to the draw occurred against the Sardinians, Antonio Conte’s team achieved the amount of 18 games being undefeated, crossing the record line set almost 60 years ago. (more…)

Juventus back on home soil

Juventus have resumed their preparations for Sunday’s fixture against Lecce. After enjoying a pleasant Middle-Eastern climate over the New Year, it was back to the Italian winter for the Bianconeri as they landed at Brindisi airport overnight.
